Mark Cordes, M.D.
As an anesthesiologist, I enjoy relieving people's pain and anxiety during the time around their surgical procedures. I have chosen to focus on thoracic, vascular, neurosurgical and regional (nerve block) anesthesia.
I find that combining appropriate nerve blocks for pain relief with surgical procedures allows me to make patients more comfortable after their operation without so many of the side effects such as nausea, vomiting, itching, and constipation that a primarily narcotic pain relief anesthetic technique can have.
I am originally from Maryland and enjoy skiing, kite boarding, SCUBA diving, and recreational aviation with my wife who also enjoys the opportunities that the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
Areas of Clinical Interest
- Regional (nerve catheter and local anesthetic) anesthesia
- Targeted fluid resuscitation for major vascular and thoracic surgery.
