About me
I am an anesthesiologist with special training in obstetric anesthesia. While I provide anesthetic care to patients in most clinical settings, I focus on the care of pregnant and laboring women. I have a particular interest in high-risk pregnancies, and as Chief of Obstetric Anesthesia at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, I have been leading the busiest labor/delivery unit on the West Coast since 2012. I am also proud to provide a large part of the obstetric anesthesia training to residents from the University of Washington and Virginia Mason Medical Center.

My wife, two young daughters, and I love living in Seattle and are constantly looking forward to the next sunny day!

Areas of clinical interest
My primary interest is the anesthetic care of pregnant and laboring women, particularly those with high risk pregnancies. These include women with significant medical issues, complicated pregnancies and abnormal placentation.
